Nike and England national team unveiled jointly the brand new home and away shirts for 2016 UEFA Euro. The two England football shirts were manufactured to help the national team players run freely and be concentrated on matches at football pitches.
The newly released home shirt is predominately white and features a v-neck collar with a dark blue stripe. The sky blue sleeves and shoulders are unique in contrast to the main color. Nike Swoosh is printed for easy brand recognition. The national team badge is embroidered on the chest boasting the team’s pride. “England” is printed on the back of the collar. “THREE” and “LIONS” are respectively sewn on the insides of the sleeves. These design details completely show respect for the nation.
In addition, a breathable stripe is placed on both sides of the shirt so as to provide good air permeability for players in motion. The white shorts and red socks complete the home kit.
The away shirt is predominately red with a contrasting dark red shoulders and sleeves in honor of the great victory that England national team got the champion in 1966 FIFA World Cup. Nike Aeroswif technology is a combination of superior moisture- wicking fabric and construction techniques designed to enhance the comfort. The fabric is breathable so players can keep dry and cool during 90 minutes.
When designing each football match jersey, environmental protection will be taken into consideration. Each kit is made from approximately 16 plastic bottles on average melted down to produce a fine yarn, which shows Nike’s strong awareness of environmental protection. Since 2010, Nike has recycled nearly 3 billion waste plastic bottles from landfills, enough to cover about 5,200 football pitches.
